Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf arranged a meeting where all the high officials and CEO of cellular network companies were present to discuss the rules and regulations implemented by PTA on 13th November. The ban that was implemented on MNP was lifted on the basis of tremendous benefits of the service. The decision of SIMs sale through home delivery was also refused and the suggestion of installation of biometric system is adopted for the selling of SIMs on the franchise, retail outlets and customer care centers. Furthermore, the 31st December deadline has been extended for 3 months for the blockage of unregistered SIMs. However, Rehman malik who implemented the ban and decided the 31st December deadline is satisfied with the prime minister changes and have no issues regarding the extension.
