Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, Muhammad Farooq Awan, discussed the benefits of mobile network portability MNP in the media and suggested that the ban on MNP was a sudden decision without any consultation with the telecom industry. The users of the MNP service are the ones that can be easily detectable and they are the most loyal customers of the mobile operating companies due to their long term associated with the service.
