Here I will provide you a few tips and tricks for your new Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus so that you can use your new mobile with ease and you will have a smooth experience with latest features.
These are the key settings that you need to change as soon as you get your Galaxy S9 or S9 plus in your hands.
Set Maximum WQHD+ Screen Resolution
The best thing in a Samsung mobile is the display. Both Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus has a beautiful infinity display and has 5.8 inch and 6.2inch screen size respectively. But when you will open the box, your mobile screen resolution will be set at Full HD+ or you can say at 2,220 x 1,080 pixels.
When you have infinity display with WQHD screen resolution so why you would use it at a lower resolution? The first thing you would love to do is to change the screen resolution of your Samsung Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 Plus to WQHD+ which is 2,960 x 1,440 pixels.
You can change your display resolution by navigating to Settings > Display > Screen Resolution and from here you can change the slider and set it to the maximum screen resolution of WQHD+.
Remember, when you set the maximum screen resolution, your display will be brighter and sharper, but the battery will drain out quickly as higher screen resolution consumes more battery. If you don’t want sharper display and want to use your mobile for a longer time then set the screen resolution at HD+ or leave it at FHD+.

Improve Touch Sensitivity to Use Screen Protector
Most of the people use a screen protector i.e. a tempered glass to save the touch glass from scratches. Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus has Gorilla Glass 5 protection on back and front but still, you want to get a screen protector to save the screen from scratches. Normally you won’t feel any difference in the touch sensitivity when you put a screen protector on your new Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, but in case, if you feel that mobile touch is not as responsive as it was without the protector then you can increase the sensitivity of the touch of Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 Plus.
If you want to improve the touch sensitivity of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus then navigate to Settings > Advanced features > Touch sensitivity. From here you can enable the touch sensitivity option and your Galaxy mobile will become more responsive.
Change Navigation Bar Layout of Galaxy S9, S9 Plus
Every Android phone has a navigation bar at the bottom of the mobile. These are touch buttons or sometimes capacitive buttons as well. The home button, back button and recent app buttons are there in this navigation bar. The Samsung mobiles have these buttons in the order as Recents – Home – Back while traditional layout for other mobiles is the reverse order which is Back – Home – Recents.
If you want to change this order, you can change it easily. To change the navigation bar layout of your Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus navigate to Settings > Display > Navigation bar > Button layout.
From here you can change the layout of navigation bar as per your comfort.
From this menu, you can also change the color scheme of the navigation bar and pressure level to press the home button.
Enable Multi Window or Split Screen Feature
If you love multitasking then the big display of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus is perfect for this. You can use two different apps at a time on the same screen. Samsung has disabled the feature to use split screen multi-window by default by using the recent apps buttons.

If you want to enable this feature and want to use the multi-window for two different apps then you should navigate to Settings > Advanced features > Multi window, and from here enable the split screen feature by tapping on the Use Recents Button.
From Advanced Feature screen, you can enable or disable many other useful features. For example, at the top, you can find Smart Stay option. If you enable this feature your mobile display will not dim while you are staring at the screen. This is best when you are reading something on the screen of your mobile.

If this option is enabled, you only need to press the power button twice to launch the camera application.
Schedule Blue Light Filter
The blue light that emits from the mobile or from the computer can be harmful to the health and especially for the eyes. For your good health and safety, Samsung allows you to use the blue light filter. Since you need this filter during the night when there is darkness, so you can schedule your mobile for the blue light filter.
To adjust this filter, you need to navigate to Settings > Display > Blue light filter and from here you can set the filter from sunset to sunrise or even you can set a custom schedule as well as per your requirement.
